  • Benny, an Israeli living in Berlin, is called back home following his grandfather’s death. He arrives in Israel with his girlfriend Sara and his family can’t wait to meet her. But suspicion arises as the family learns that the right pronunciation of her name is Zahara. Zahara Abdulla to be precise – a Muslim German and daughter of Egyptian parents.
    As tensions rise, Benny and Zara were not the only ones who tried to lead a quiet life while keeping secrets.

    Israeli film director and screenwriter, working and living in Berlin for the last 30 years. Studied directing at the Konrad Wolf University of Film & Television in Potsdam, Germany.
    Directed more than 25 films and numerous television shows since 1992.
